Paper Diary vs Digital Teacher Diary: Which Is Better for Indian Teachers?

Many teachers are moving from paper diaries and registers to tablets. Both have their place. Here is an honest look at the differences to help you decide.

Where paper is better

• No device or charging needed
• Some schools still require printed registers to be submitted

Where digital is better

• One tablet replaces several heavy registers
• Tap to jump to any page instead of flipping
• Undated planners never run out of pages, and a fresh copy is ready every year
• Easy to back up, so records are not lost
• Undo, copy and rearrange with a stylus

The best of both

A good digital diary is A4, so you can still print any register your school needs. Many teachers plan and record digitally, and print only what has to be submitted.
