How to Use a Digital Teacher Diary on iPad and Android (Step by Step)

Switching from a paper diary to a digital one is easier than it sounds. You need three things: a tablet, a PDF note-taking app and, ideally, a stylus. Here is how to set it up in a few minutes.

Step 1: Choose your app

  • iPad: GoodNotes or Noteshelf
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab: Samsung Notes (free and pre-installed)
  • Other Android tablets: Noteshelf or Xodo

Step 2: Download and import the PDF

Download the PDF from your order email, then open it in your app. On iPad, use Share → GoodNotes → Import as new document. On Android, open your app and import the file from the Downloads folder.

Step 3: Fill in your basics

Start with your profile, school details, timetable and class list. These are the pages you will use every day.

Step 4: Use the tabs to move around

Tap the side tabs and buttons to jump to any section, month or week. In GoodNotes, links work in read-only mode or when you tap with your finger.

Step 5: Make it a habit

Spend five minutes at the end of each day filling in your lesson diary and attendance. In a week it will feel as natural as paper, and your bag will be much lighter.
